  • TRANSATLANTIC TRADE & INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP petition

    Can we encourage as many as possible to sign and/or organise petitions - and if possible to attend the "Day of Action" at the Carmarthen Guildhall on Saturday 30th August at 10am.

    If the TTIP goes ahead, as is being discreetly negotiated at present, it will make billions for the US global corporations and ruin our society, economy and environment in the process.

  • The 2014 Spring Greens Fair

     

    Bigger, better, bursting with good things green, but still intimate and charming...the 2014 Spring Greens Fair is back this weekend, 3/4 May at the wonderful Court of Noke, Staunton on Arrow. Mid Wales Permaculture Network will be there, of course (perennial forest garden plants for sale and adopt-a-plant with free plants for children. This year there will be even more wonderful food, activities, forum discussions, demonstrations, crafts, performace... see it all here:

Free forest garden perennials in N Wales

PeteFree Stall has gift economy fruit and nut trees available

 

Incredible Edible Forest Garden & Community Orchard plant nursery -- We have a large number of useful and edible perrenial plants that we have grown this year, and you are welcome to visit to collect some that we have left. They are still ok to plant out. This is a Gift Economy Community orchard nursery, and there are no prices for plants.

(bring a bag or pot to put them in)
Anyone with spare pots 4" to 6" we'd love them!

Plants and young Trees still offered:


Josta Berries; Goose berries; Blackcurrants;
Goji Berry, Oregano,
Moroccan mint, Chocolate mint, Sweet
Chestnuts, Hazel Cob nut trees.

There are many jostaberries still available and also the Hazels are special Hazels which will grow true to the mother tree which is in an old orchard and it sheds an amazing 2000+ hazel nuts each year. We have about 350 special Sweet chestnut trees available and these are special because they are from an avenue of trees which fruit every year this far north!. The other sweet chestnuts in that town fruit very rarely, This plant is special and will also grow true to the mother trees. We need to get these growing in amongst other fruitful trees and plants growing all over the place.

Tyn Y Nant, fruit farm is situated in the middle of North Wales. About 35 miles maximum from Deeside, Connahs Quay, Chester, Wrexham, Portmadog, Llandudno, Conwy, Holywell, Flint, Oswestry, and 50 from Machynlleth. 1.5 hours from Liverpool and Manchester
