If the TTIP goes ahead, as is being discreetly negotiated at present, it will make billions for the US global corporations and ruin our society, economy and environment in the process.

Regular Big Gatherings in Lampeter

At Transition Llambed's AGM and Big Gathering last Thursday, we decided to begin holding Big Gatherings on the third Thursday of every month. So, starting this week, we'll be able to build on the energy and enthusiasm that members have expressed for new Transition projects. Each Gathering will be a meeting for all the themed groups, a regular time to work separately, yet connecting together to share plans and ideas.

New groups have now formed to tackle important issues for Lampeter's future - local food, health & well-being, and transport. Meanwhile the events group are planning an exciting series of monthly musical evenings at Victoria Hall - the Castanet Club. There's a newsletter group starting, aiming to fill the gap left by the much-missed fortnightly magazine The Lamp. And the Victoria Hall group continues to work on making the hall a vibrant community resource and Transition hub.
The Big Gatherings will be a chance to join an existing group or start a new one, meet and connect with other local Transitioners over a cup of tea, and make a difference to Lampeter's future. So, come along on Thursday, bring your friends, and make it a regular date in your diary!
